Prior to starting work as an independent Fire Investigator Richard
was a Fire Officer with London Fire Brigade attached to the North West Area Fire Investigation Unit based at Acton. He spent 26 years in the fire service with the last ten being dedicated solely to investigation work. Since leaving in 1992 he has worked as an independent Fire Investigator carrying out detailed investigations for the insurance industry. He regularly undertakes investigations into electrical fires for Western Power and Farm fires for the NFU. In total Richard has been investigating fires for the last 37 years.
